“Bible Believing, Christ Centered, Spirit Led, and Prayer Driven”
Russell Tabernacle “The City of Victory” is a local assembly of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church.
The Christian Methodist Episcopal (C.M.E.) Church is an international Christian denomination founded in Jackson, TN on December 16, 1870.
Russell Tabernacle is committed to encouraging, empowering, and equipping believers to share the love of
Jesus Christ in our homes, communities, cities, and the world.
We are Christian -
We believe Jesus Christ to be God in the flesh. We believe in His death on the cross for our sins, His burial, and His glorious resurrection.
We are Methodist –
Contrary to popular belief, Methodism is not a style of worship, but rather it refers to our
adherence to the theological teachings of John Wesley, the father of Methodism.
We are Episcopal –
Our Connectional Church observes an episcopal form of governance.
This means that our denomination is governed by bishops. However, we are not affiliated with the “Episcopal Church”.
We are a body of Christians saved by the grace of God, redeemed through the blood of Jesus, and
living with the power of the Holy Ghost.
We are found, to find another.
We are told, to tell another.
We are won, to win another.
We are saved, to save another.
[We] believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried. On the third day He rose from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. [We] believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic (universal) church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
